The Akhal-Teke Horse Riding center is located outside Avanos, in the heart of Cappadocia, Turkey
The 30 box stall barn, built near the banks of the Kizilirmak River was constructed in 1988. The horses, many of which are bred and raised on the ranch are a mix of pure Arabians, Arabian-Anatolian and Akhal-Teke crosses. The horses are sure-footed and trail-wise and suitable for all levels of riders from beginner to advanced.
We offer day rides and multi-day treks as well as horse-riding lessons by appointment.
The riding outfit is a family-run business managed by Ercihan Dilari. Ercihan, who is fluent in English and French, has been riding, breeding and training horses for over 25 years. Ercihan has an intimate knowledge of this beautiful environment and enjoys nothing more than guiding riders through these magnificent historic and geographically fascinating valleys.
As of 2010 the outfit has also expanded into the NW region of Turkey, offering long rides, that follow the trail of the great Ottoman Traveller Evliya Celebi. The riding center also organises endurance riding competitions and in 2010 hosted the Turkish and Balkan Endurance Championships.
